If angle 1 and angle 2 are complementary, what measures the angles when m, 1=4x-7 and m<2=x+12

    M∠1 = 4x - 7

    m∠2 = x + 12

    Because the two angles are complementary, therefore

    4x-7 + x+12 = 90°

    5x + 5 = 90

    5x = 90 - 5 = 85

    x = 85/5 = 17

    Therefore

    m∠1 = 4 (17) - 7 = 61°

    m∠2 = 17 + 12 = 29°

    Answer: 61° and 29°
