A gumball machine has 78 gumballs. each person who puts a coin into the machine gets 3 gumballs. after a certain number of people get gumballs, there are 54 gumballs remaining.

Which equation could we use to estimate how many people (p) got gumballs out of the machine?

A. 80-3-50=p

B. 80:3+50=p

C. (80+50) : 3=p

D. (80-50) : 3=p

    D is the bast answer for this question, but, the equation should be (78-54) / 3=p.
