    f (x) = x - 5, g (x) = x²

    First calculate f (-3).

Put the value of x = - 3 to the equation of the function f:

    f (-3) = - 3 - 5 = - 8

    Put x = - 8 to the equation of the function g:

    g[f (-3) ] = (-8) ² = 64

    Answer: g[f (-3) ] = 64
