Violet and Juan work at a furniture store. Violet is paid $200 per week plus 10% of her total sales in dollars, xx, which can be represented by g (x) = 200+0.1xg (x) = 200+0.1x. Juan is paid $785 per week plus 5.5% of his total sales in dollars, xx, which can be represented by f (x) = 785+0.055xf (x) = 785+0.055x. 1495 will make the weekly value the same.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Ok cool, so first let's set up an equation.

    200 + 0.1x = 785 + 0.55x

    Let's solve!

    Subtract 200 on both sides to maintain equality.

    0.1x = 585 + 0.55x, Subtract 0.55x on both sides to also maintain equality!

    .45x = 585

    Lets multiply both sides by 2 5/9.

    x = 1495.

    1495 will make the weekly value the same.
