Geetha's walk was 1380 feet long.

    Solution:

    Given that

Geetha decides to take her puppy for a walk.

After 90 feet, they stop to smell some roses.

Then Geetha runs into a friend 200 yards up the road.

From there they head back to her house.

Need to calculate how many feet was Geetha walk.

Lets say position of Geetha's home be represented by A

Position of roses be represented by B

Position of friend be represented by C.

So distance covered by Geetha is from A to B, B to C then from C to B and B to A.

Given that AB = 90 feet and BC = 200 yards

    As 1 yard = 3 feet, so 200 yards = 200 x 3 = 600 feet.

    So total distance covered in walk = 2 (AB + BC) = 2 (90 + 600) = 2 x 690 = 1380 feet.

Hence Geetha's walk was 1380 feet long.
