A scientist has 2/3 liter of solution. He uses 1/2 of the solution. how much solution is used for the experiment?

    2/3 liter of solution.

    1/2 of the solution is used.

    Find how much the solution is used for the experiment.

    We simply multiply the 2 fractions.

    2/3 liters * 1/2 = 2*1 / 3 * 2 = 2/6

    2/6 is simplified to 1/3

    1/3 liter of solution was used in the experiment.
