Amanda needs 24grams more of paint to paint the unpainted surfaces

    Step-by-step explanation:

    A cube contains 6 surfaces

Let the wooden cube (painted) have a side length of 2 units.

    Therefore,

    Area of the wooden cube (painted) = 2 x 2 x 6

    =24grams

The wooden cube is cut into 8 Equal cubes

The side length of the smaller cube is 1

    Area of each small cube = 1 * 1 * 6 = 6

    Area of total small cube=6*8

    =48grams

Unpainted area=Total area of small cubes - total painted area

    =48g-24g

    =24grams

Amanda needs 24grams more of paint to paint the unpainted surfaces
