The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 10m long. the longer leg is 2m longer than the shorter leg. find the side lengths of the triangle.

    Based on Pythagoras’s Theorem: x^2 + (x+2) ^2 = 10^2 2x^2 + 4x + 4 = 100 X^2 + 2x - 48 = 0 (x + 8) (x - 6) = 0 Solving for x = 6, the sides are 6m and 8m.
