    First deal with - 3 (m-2) and distribute the - 3 to get - 3m+6

    then combine it with the first term which was 10

    10-3m+6

    add up the like terms

    16-3m

    now solve

    16-3m=8

    subtract 16 from both sides

    16-16-3m=8-16

    -3m=-8

    divide by - 3

    m=8/3
