x+1 > - 5 (7-2x)
Use distributive property (Multiply - 5 by 7 and - 2x).
x+1 > - 35 + 10x
Subtract x on both sides so that the variable x is only on one side.
1 > - 35 + 9x
Add 35 to both sides so that it cancels out negative 35.
36 > 9x
Divide 9 on both sides so that the only thing remaining on the right side is the variable x.
Final Answer: 4 > x
