a) A (n) = a + (n) (d-1)

b) A (n) = a + (n+1) d

The answer is letter c. If we talked about arithmetic sequence it has the explicit formula: A (n) = a + (n-1) d. So it showed in the choices that letter c has the correct formula for arithmetic sequence. It is the only formula if you are going to find nth term of an arithmetic sequence.
