A circle has a radius of 9 cm and a sector of the circle has an arc length of 9.7 cm. The angle at the centre of the sector is X°. Calculate the value of x to the nearest degree.

    Value of x = 62

    Explanation:

    Angle in radian = Arc length / Radius

    Arc length = 9.7 cm

    Radius = 9 cm

    Angle in radian = Arc length / Radius = 9.7/9 = 1.078 radians

    2π radians = 360°

    1 radian = 57.296°

    1.078 radians = 1.078 x 57.296 = 61.75° = 62°

    Value of x = 62
