A baker made 9 trays of cupcakes and 2 pans of brownies. Each cupcake tray makes 12 cupcakes, and each brownie pan makes 48 brownies. The baker estimates he made about 200 desserts in all. Is that a good estimate?

    Yes, because 9 times 12 is 108 and 2 times 48 is 96. So if you add 108+96 you get 204 which can be estimated as 200.
