Richard gets paid $12 an hour for the first 40 hours he works in a week. he is paid $18 dollars for every extra hour. he works for 52 hours in a particular week. explain an expression can be used to determine the total amount earned by richard at the end of the week

    (12*40) + (18 * (52-40)) =

    480 + (18*12) =

    480+216=$696
