    -3 (2x - y) + 2y + 2 (x + y) = - 3 (2x) - 3 (-y) + 2y + 2 (x) + 2 (y)

    = - 6x + 3y + 2y + 2x + 2y = (-6x + 2x) + (3y + 2y + 2y) = - 4x + 7y
