One side of a square is 10 units. Which is greater, the number of square units for the area or the number of units for the perimeter

    a = length * width

    A = 10 * 10 = 100 units ^2

    The number of units for perimeter is ...

    perimeter = 4 * length

    perimeter = 40 units

    The number of square units for area is larger.

    *note - Since we have a square, we know all side Lengths are the same.
