Triangle M is also a scaled copy of S. The scale factor from S to M is 32. What is the scale factor from M to S?

    Triangle M and Triangle S.

    The scale factor of S to M is 32.

    In ratio form, we can write scale factor of S to M as 32:1.

    In other way 32:1 can be expressied 32:1 in fracions as 32/1.

    We need to find the scale factor of triangle M to triangle S.

    In order to write reverse scale factor, we just need to flip the given scale factor ratio.

    Therefore, 32:1 could be flipped to 1:32.

    And we could write 1:32 in fracion form as 1/32.

    Therefore, scale factor from M to S is 1/32.
