Step-by-step explanation: For a problem like this, it's best to use Pythagorean Theorem which is a^2+b^2=c^2.

In this problem they gave us a and c already so we are trying to find b.

    3^2+?=5^2

    9+?=25

    25-9=16

Find the square root of 16 which is 4

Answer: The distance between the ladder and the slide is 4 meters
