When traveling to Europe, phelan exchanged 250 US dollars for euros. He spent 150 euros on his trip. After returning to the us he converts his money back to US dollars. How much money of the original 250 US dollars does he have now?

    Okay. I would approach this with conversions.

    Before we start, good to know that (currently) $1 is 0.90 €.

    We start with $250. Turning that to Euros, it is worth 225 €.

    150 € had been spent, so 225-150 = 75 €.

    Going back to US dollars, 75 € is worth $83.34!
