The answer as a fraction is x=3 3/5. As a decimal it's x=3.6

X=3.6
you take the variable side, and simplify what you can just on that side. then you take the simplification (2+5x-2=18) and you take the steps to get the answer, which are to take the addition and subtraction and reverse them, while doing it to the other side as well, then you divide both sides by five to get your answer. I couldnt remember about one step, but if i did it wrong then the answer is 3.2
