    2x-3y = - 1 (label 1)

    y=x-1 (label 2)

    sub 2 in 1

    2x-3 (x-1) = - 1

    2x-3x+3 = - 1

    -x+3 = - 1

    -x=-4

    x=4

    sub x=4 into 2

    y=4-1

    y=3

    therefore x=4 and y=3
