    The Width = 10cm

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Area of Triangle = 1/2 * base * height

    Area of rectangle = Length * Width

    Area of Triangle = 1/2 * 6 * 8 = 24cm^2

    From the question:

    Area of rectangle = 5 times area of triangle

    L * W = 5 * 24

    12 * W = 120

    12W/12 = 120/12

    W = 10cm

    w=10 cm

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Area of the triangle = 1/2*8 cm*6 cm = 24 cm^2

    Area of the rectangle=5*24 cm^2=120 cm^2

    width*length=120 cm^2

    width=120 cm^2 / (12 cm)
