    Domain is the numbres you can use

    find the domain of the combined fraction

    remember we can't divide by 0 so set denomenator equal to 0 to find the restricted values

    f (x) is denom

    f (x) = 0=x^2+x-12

    0 = (x-3) (x+4)

    restricted values are x=-4 and 3

    for g (x), the domain is al real number

    so the domain for g (x) / f (x) is all real numbers except - 4 and 3
