    A square has 4 sides of equal legnth

    so if the side legnth is s, then the perimiter is 4s

    aera=side^2

    so if perimiter is P, then the area is (P/4) ^2

    1. (P/4) ^2 = (480/4) ^2 = (120) ^2=14400 ft^2

    2. (P/4) ^2 = (1000/4) ^2=250^2=62500 ft^2

    3. (P/4) ^2 = (6/4) ^2 = (3/2) ^2=9/4 mi^2 or about 2.25 mi^2
