First subtract 24 from both sides, so you can factor all of the terms. Next, you factor. You use MNA to factor first. If this doesn't work, you use the quadratic formula. With MNA, we get 4 and - 6. Because the first term has a coefficient of one, the factors are simply (x+4) and (x-6).
