What is the difference between solving an equation and an inequality?

    When you solve an equation, it has an equal sign (=) and inequalities do not. When you solve an inequality the answer isn't exact (depending on the sign ie:, etc ...) equations usually are exact answers. other than that, I don't think there is a big difference in solving them.
