The area of a rectangle is 64 square meters. If the length is 3 times the width, then find the dimensions of the rectangle. Round off your answers to the nearest hundredth.

    Length:3x

    width:x

    3x•x=64

    3x^2=64

    x^2=21 1/3

    x = about 4.6188

    length:3 (4.6188) = 13.86 meters

    width=4.62 meters
