    First you must distribute the 2 into (2t+4)

    2 (2t+4) ~ 4t+8

    Do the same with the right side

    3/4 (24-8t) ~ 18-6t

    This is what you should have thus far

    4t+8=18-6t

    You now need to get all of your "t"s on one side. You can do this by either adding 6t to both sides OR subtracting 4t from both sides.

    8=18-10t OR 10t+8=18

    Again you want to get t by itself

    -10=-10t OR 10t=10

    Then

    1=t OR t=1

    Therefore, your answer will be t=1

    You can check your answer by plugging in "1" for all "t"s in the equation!
