If p (x) = 2x^3 - 3x + 5, what is the remainder of p (x) divided by (x - 5)

    Dividing the function given, P (x) by (x-5) will give us the following

    P (x) / (x-5)

    = (2x^3-3x+5) / (x-5)

    = (2x^2+10x+47) + 240 / (x-5)

    thus the remainder is:

    240
