Given: AB || DC ∠A ≅ ∠D Prove: ΔABC ≅ ΔDCB Isabelle proves that the triangles are congruent by using the parallel lines to determine a second set of angles are congruent. What statement and reason could she have used?

    Given that AB║DC and ∠A≈∠D, then to prove that ABC is congruent to DCB Isabelle will have to use SAS (side-angle-side) postulate. This is because we have been given sides and angle that are equal to each other.
