Ok so I was sick one day and missed all the notes on simplifying fractions ... so how do u simplify

you have to do the same to the top as the bottom

etc.

4/6 simplified = 2/3 because you divide the whole fraction by 2.

or 15/20 = 3/4 because it is divided by 5.

can divide into both numbers exactly.

Now divide the top and the bottom by 2 to get your simplified fraction which is ½.
