Solve for x. - 2x + 3b > 5

    -2x + 3b > 5

    Subtract 3b from both sides:

    -2x > 5-3b

    Divide by - 2 on both sides. (When you are dividing by a negative number, the greater than symbol will be reversed to a less than symbol):

    x < (5-3b) / (-2)
