What is the slope of the line represented by the equation 4x+8y=4

    Rearrange the formula so that its in the form of y=mx+b

    so it would be:

    8y = - 4x + 4

    then divide by 8:

    y = - 4/8 x + 4/8:

    Simplify:

    y = - 1/2x + 1/2

    the slope is - 1/2
