If the jeans are 35% off, he had to pay 65% the price

    $79 x. 65 x 3 = $154.05

If the polo was 15% off, he had to pay 85% the price

    $39 x. 85 x 5 = $165.75

    Sales tax = price is 1.0575 (154.05 + 165.75) = $338.19

    $350 - $338.19 = $11.81 in change
