No. GCF means Greatest Common Factor. So let's say you picked the number 4 and 8 ... Their GCF is 4 and not 2 despite the fact that they are even numbers ... GCF changes according to the number range ... So you can't always expect it to be 2 for even numbers ... Hope I answered your question.

Not always, the GCF for 16 and 20 is 4.
