Ant is 1/4" and aphid is 3/32" so how many times longer is the ant then the aphid

    1/4 - 3/32

    you have to find a common denominator. In this case it will be 32.

    4 * 8 = 32

    It will turn into:

    8/32 - 3/32.

    now all you have to do is subtract the numerators.

    8 - 3 = 5.
