The longest side is the hypotenuse, so that is the c in the equation.
Pythagorean theorem:
c² = a²+b²
Substitute the side lengths in the equation.
13² = 5² + 12²
If this equation is true, then the answer is yes. if the equation is false, then the answer is no.
