Compare f (x) = 4 (x+3) ^2-6 to the parent f (x) = * ^2 and then state the vertex.

    In form

    y=a (x-h) ²+k

    vertex is (h, k)

    f (x) = 4 (x - (-3)) ² + (-6)

    vertex is (-3,-6)

    parent is

    f (x) = 1 (x-0) ²+0

    vertex is (0,0)

    the other one is 3 to the left and 6 down from parent function
