According to the Triangle Inequality, the length of the longest side of a triangle must be less than the sum of the length of the other two sides. The two shortest sides of a triangle measure 3/10 and x + 1/5, and the longest side measures 3/2x

    x has to equal 1. 3/10 + 1/5 = 1/2

    the equation is now 1/2 + x = 1 1/2x

    x = 1

    1 1/2 = 1 1/2
