    y = 4x - 10 ... (1)

    y = 2 ... (2)

    You have y=2 here, substitute it in equation (1),

    y = 4x - 10

    2 = 4x - 10

    Add both sides by 10

    12=4x

    Divide both sides by 4

    x=3

    We have x=3, and y=2. = = > (x, y) = (3,2)
