Subtract 4.3 from both sides
-2.9 - 4.3 = 3f
Simplify - 2.9 - 4.3 to - 7.2
-7.2 = 3f
Divide both sides by 3
-7.2/3 = f
Simplify 7.2/3 to 2.4
-2.4 = f
Switch sides
f = - 2.4
