The surface area of the tent is 94 square feet.

There are 5 pieces to the tent. We just need to find the area of each side and add them together.

    Floor - Rectangle: 4 x 6 = 24

    Front & Back - Triangles: 4 x 4 / 2 = 8

    2 Sides: Rectangles: 4.5 x 6 = 27

    24 + 2 (8) + 2 (27) = 94 square feet
