400 passengers go on a coach trip.

Cost for each coach

Each coach takes 50 passengers.

Each passenger pays £23

Pay for driver

The table shows the costs for the Fuel

70p per mile

coach company.

Each coach travels 200 miles.

Work out the total profit the company makes from this trip.

    Answer: ₹759407.56

    Step-by-step explanation: Total No. of passengers = 400

    1 Coach = 50 passengers

    ∴Total No. of coaches = 400/50=8 coaches.

    Cost for each passenger = £23

    ∴Total cost for 400 passengers = 400x£23

    = £9200 (1£=82.5443 ₹) ∴ Total cost for passengers = ₹759407.56

    Money spent per mile = 70p

    ∴Money spent for 200 miles = 200x70p=14000p

    (1₹=100p) thus, 14000p=₹140

    Total profit = Money from the passengers - Money spent for fuel

    ∴₹759407.56 - ₹140 = ₹7,59,407.56

    Actually I am a 9th grader and I have tried this question, so I am not sure for my answer, But I have tried my level best.
