What is the probability of flipping two fair coins and having both show tails

    The probability would actually be 1:4. this is because the probability of getting tails for ONE coin is 1/2. So now there is 2 coins that need to be tails. To find that probability we need to multiply 1/2 by 1/2 which equals 1/4.
