The length of a rectangular garden is 10 feet longer than its width. The garden's perimeter is 208 feet. Find the width of the garden.

    work:

    208/2 = 114

    now this is easier.

    the answer is 62, as 62 is 10 more than 52, so once added, (obviously) that gets you 114, and the width is 52.
