To find the mean, you add all the numbers up and then divide by the total number of numbers. So for this problem, you'd add 2, 1, 3, 2, 2, 1, 4, 0, 1, and 4 to get 20. Then you would divide by 10, because there are 10 numbers. 20 divided by 10 is 2. The mean number of dogs in a customer's home is 2.
