A survey of 30 students found that 12 of them were members of a sports team how many students out of 400 would be on sports team

    160 Students. If you set it up as a proportion, you will have 12/30 is equal to x/400. If you cross multiply you get 4800=30X. Then divide 4800 by 30 and you get X=160.
