Which is a better deal on a $50 item: 45% off original price or 30% off, plus an additional 20% off at the register? Your answer must include your math calculations

    First Deal at 45%→ $50 - 50 (45%) = 50 - 22.5 = $27.5 (net to pay)

    Second Deal: a) 30% off → $50 - 50 (30%) = 50 - 15 = $35

    b) Additional 20% (on the remaining from a)) →

    $35 - 35 (20%) = 35 - 7 = $28 (net to pay)

    Then the 1st deal at 45% is better
