You buy two T-shirts in a sale. You pay the full price of $12 for the first T-shirt, and you get the second T-shirt for half this price. What fraction of the full price do you pay for two shirts?

    The full price for two $12 tshirts would be $24. So, if the second shirt is only $6, that means your total cost of the discounted sale would be $18. And that would be 18/24, which simplified is 3/4.
