You buy equal numbers of containers of tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. Both carrots and cucumbers are $3 less per container than tomatoes. The product of the price for each equals the total cost. Let A be the number of containers of tomatoes bought

A also will be the number of containers of cucumbers, and the number of container of carrots

A*t represents the total price paid for all tomato containers

A * (t - 3$) represents the total price paid for all cucumber containers

A * (t - 3$) also represents the total price paid for all carrot containers

Since the product of the price for each equals the total cost.

    Then,

    Total cost of purchase = A*t * [A * (t - 3$) ]²

(The graph was made with A = 1)
